TaxiMe calculates the distance between any 2 points using Google Maps and cab rates specific to that city. When you punch in the starting and ending address, TaxiMe will show you a list of cab contacts in that city and estimate how much your trip is going to be.
Right now TaxiMe only supports cities in Canada and the US, but we are always open if you want to submit a rate for your city. If your city is not supported and you know the rates, you can still use TaxiMe! Just punch the rates into “Adjust fare settings” and away you go.
If we don’t have the rate for your city, TaxiMe will look in your state/province and find the closest city to you with a rate. Yeahhhh, it’s pretty damn smart!
TaxiMe also takes into consideration the time you might wait in traffic. If it’s 5 PM, that’s rush hour and you’re more likely to wait a little longer. It will tell you if you hover over “How is this calculated?”.
And yes, TaxiMe is supported on mobile devices.
